Everyone remembers when Jennifer Lopez dominated headlines for reasons far different than the superstar does today. There were the “Bennifer” days during her soaring, then sinking, engagement to Ben Affleck. There were the bad movies that could have been so much better, considering the multitalented actress’ spectrum of skills. Through it all, however, Jennifer Lopez stayed grounded in her family roots, her heritage, and never quite lost herself.

Like the rest of the world, the “Today” show marveled just weeks ago at how Jennifer Lopez looks even better at almost 50 (which she turns next month) than she did at 20, and how her career is as blazing hot as the orange dress she wore at the CFDA gala.

“Today's” Jenna Bush Hager took the same color cue with her cape dress.

Being a parent who her children could look up to has consistently been a priority for Jennifer Lopez, and as she has grown deeper into that responsibility with her twins, Max and Emme, now 11, shared with her ex, Latin music icon, Marc Anthony, she only shines brighter.

As “Today” and numerous other sources reported this morning, June 17, J-Lo went above and beyond being gracious to Marc Anthony and her current fiancé, Alex Rodriguez on Father's Day. The superstar gushed with love for both the fine fellas and fathers in her and her children's lives. Becoming a blended family certainly has its challenges, but when love and children remain as priorities, the blessings for the whole family can only be multiplied.

Loving dads times two

Jennifer Lopez first honored Anthony as “Flaco” on Father’s Day, offering a montage of precious moments with Papa. She closed her caption in gratitude, saying “Thank you for these two beautiful coconuts!!!”

Soon after that tribute, there came a tender shout of affirmation from the family to Rodriguez. Later, a playful photo shows Emme exuberantly hugging mom, while Max holds A-Rod in a not-too crushing choke-hold.

The two-year relationship between the former Yankee premiere star and Lopez has clearly evolved into its own natural family transition. “Macho” was Lopez’ love-name for Rodriguez.

Jennifer praised her fiancé as a “caring with a consistent presence” and guiding her and her children to “be our best selves with a loving, gentle hand.”

Jennifer Lopez was generous with her grace for Alex’s parenting of his two daughters, Natasha and Ella, from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis.

She noted that seeing him as the father to his daughters is “one of my greatest joys.”

Ready for the future

Alex Rodriquez took the higher ground as well, adding “Happy Father's Day, Marc!” to the romantic singer’s feed. There were more than 2 million likes on the post from Jennifer Lopez.

Romance is definitely going to be part of the near future for this family praised by fans for its example as a “beautiful and healthy” dynamic. Jennifer Lopez has indicated that she and Alex Rodriguez plan a church wedding for their nuptials.

Marc Anthony and Alex Rodriguez have been side-by-side at Max’s recitals, presenting full paternal support. Emme didn't need an audition to share the best stage in the world with her mother last week, singing “Limitless.”

This family personifies the deepest qualities of connectedness, the kind that doesn't end when legal papers are signed. Family is meant to last forever, and Jennifer Lopez takes that truth very seriously.
