Lucifer (Tom Ellis) returned to Hell in the shocking "Lucifer" season 4 finale. Lucifer decided to return Downstairs after he realized his absence caused big problems, while and Eve (Inbar Lavi), his former girlfriend, wanted some time for herself, but would they make a comeback to “Lucifer” season 5?
Netflix has yet to renew the show for a new season. If season 5 ever takes shape, Lucifer will surely return, but what about Eve?
Eve's possible return to the series
Eve left Los Angeles after telling Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) she needed time for herself.
She would go on a journey of self-discovery after realizing she had been putting the needs of men more than her own.
But is it possible fans will once again see Eve in "Lucifer" season 5?
People behind the show revealed that they left the door open for Eve’s possible return. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-showrunner Joe Henderson revealed that they loved working with Inbar, as she had been fantastic throughout the series.
However, if ever Eve returns, there are questions about what story will they have for her character.
“We set her off on an amazing new starting point for her life, so I think that’s one of the first things we’ll discuss,” he said.
Whatever is going to happen, Henderson is hoping it will not be the last time fans are going to see Eve.
Eve returns to 'Lucifer'
Showrunner Ildy Modrovich added that if Eve ever returns to “Lucifer” season 5, she may help bring Lucifer back from Hell. If this happens, she can redeem herself.
Eve may add another element to the show and so change its dynamic. She may get in between Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer’s relationship again after they confessed their love for each other in the previous season finale.
Season 5’s plotline
If Netflix ever greenlights "Lucifer" season 5, Henderson and Modrovich revealed they already have an opening sequence in mind.
“We literally have had the opening sequence since we started season 4,” Henderson told TVLine.
Modrovich supported the claim and added they also have another idea for an opening sequence, saying it is really a “fun toy to play with” that would be a big guiding factor in the new season.
Talking about the show’s renewal, Modrovich is expecting to hear good news on June 8, a month after season 4’s release.
He explained, it usually takes a month before Netflix lets everyone know the shows’ future. Within that time frame, the network will analyze the bingeing and fan support for the program.
Hence, Henderson added that fan support is very important for that matter. The first month’s release will also play an important role if there will be “Lucifer” season 5 in the works.
