“When Calls the Heart” fans are jubilant since Erin Krakow has returned to social media after a month-long pause amidst the “creative hiatus” for the “retooling” in the wake of the Hallmark Channel severing its ties with Lori Loughlin. The lovely brunette star is a near-constant presence of encouragement on social media. Besides sharing her own poses from photo shoots, Erin Krakow offers encouraging words, scenic vistas from her own camera, and never forgets a birthday greeting for any friend or castmate. She offered one just last week to Gracyn Shinyei, who portrays Emily Montgomery on “When Calls the Heart,” complete with Erin making a perfect “fish face” in a photo.
The star has every reason to be joyful since she gave the welcome word that not only is Season 6 resuming on May 5 and 6 with a doubleheader comeback of new episodes, but also assuring that Season 7 is a sure thing for the runaway hit for the network.
Most recently, Erin Krakow’s social media posts have taken on a Cowboy and Western theme. She has shared several cozy poses with horses, obviously completely at ease with the noble steeds. She also posted a playful video snippet of herself and co-star, Ryan Paevey, popping up and down from the horse stables. The two are reportedly working on the soon to be released Hallmark movie feature, “Dude Ranch.”
Every actress loves to make a memorable entrance, as Erin Krakow has often done as Elizabeth Thornton on “When Calls the Heart.” The star extends that privilege to one of her character’s (and the fans’) favorite pupils on the drama in her latest Twitter share on April 17, and the young actress couldn't be more charming.
Now presenting…
Ava Grace Cooper has endeared herself not only to Erin Krakow and everyone in the cast of “When Calls the Heart,” but even more to the millions of “Hearties” who can't get enough of her completely sweet and slightly precocious character, Opal.
On “When Calls the Heart,” Opal doesn’t go anywhere without her stuffed bear, Brownie.
In the clip shared by Krakow, however, Ava Grace Cooper is summoned down the stairs as “Annie” in a log cabin from the set. Her cowboy, err, cowgirl hat, and boots are all she needs besides her beaming smile. Erin Krakow offers a hug and her own giggle of approval.
Miss Cooper also shared the clip on her own page, describing that she was “excited” to be working on a “fun project” with “someone special,” so it would be fair to presume that both these lovely stars are collaborating on “Dude Ranch,” and definitely having a good time.

Rough and tumble
No one knows, right now, what direction Hope Valley will take regarding its mayor. It was proposed that some recasting might be occurring during the production pause of the Northwest Territory saga. The mayor, mother, and business owner was such a pivotal character, and her role involved so much of the community, it could be a difficult proposition to simply have her “gone.”
The character of Charlotte Thornton, portrayed by Brooke Shields, was based on the rough-and-tumble, ready-to-ride, real-life Annie Oakley, and many fans have been open to welcoming her back to Hope Valley.
It could get sticky for Elizabeth to have her once mother-in-law around, but Hallmark should be glad to have two such capable “Annie’s” and Erin Krakow on board. The mystery regarding Hope Valley’s Mayor will just have to be resolved as the season moves on, and the cast and “When Calls the Heart” fans are ready for more adventure, family, and romance, as well as baby Jack's precious smile.
