For the “Beasts of No Nation” star, nothing seems to be too much. Apart from having a successful acting career, producing, and directing several projects, Idris is also a DJ who goes by "Big Driis the Londoner."

The musical part of his career has been overshadowed by his acting skills and accolades, though. However, the man co-created a comedy TV series titled “Turn Up Charlie,” which will follow the life and career of a struggling 40-year-old DJ named Charlie.

As a way to promote the upcoming Netflix show, Idris went to the “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” wherein he shared some details about the project admitting that he was “that 40-year-old DJ.”

Harry's 'subtle' approach

Even though the aspects of the series he explained were interesting, the highlight of the show’s segment was when the actor revealed that he DJed at Prince Harris and Meghan Markle’s wedding and how the Prince asked him to perform during the party.

Idris told a shocked Ellen that he had known Princes Harry and William for a while through their father’s charity the “Prince’s Trust.” Since that group “helped him out” when he was a young actor, Idris has done some work with them, too.

The “Luther” star even pointed out that Harry had been at some of the parties where Idris has performed as a DJ, so the Duke of Sussex knew how good he was.

“[Harry] was like, "hey, man, what are you doing on the date?” said Idris, referring to the wedding’s day. “I was like, "nothing." He goes, "hmm, would you DJ at my wedding?’ and I was like, ‘is this a joke? Are you joking?’ and then he’s like, ‘seriously.”

While everybody would have loved Idris to tell more details about the wedding and the party, he went on to say that he would perform in this year’s Coachella.

Ellen congratulated and gave him a colorful outfit to wear for the big event that, as usual, made everybody laugh.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding took place on May 19, 2018, at the St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, England. The ceremony has been labeled as one of the most important events of the decade.

Some highly popular Celebrities were among the guests of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day, including tennis great Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and fashion designer Victoria Beckham and her husband, former soccer player David Beckham.

A-list actor George Clooney and his barrister wife, Amal Clooney, were also invited.

Gabriel Macht, who worked with Meghan on “Suits,” was present, too, next to his wife, Jacinda Barrett.

At the moment, Harry and Meghan are completing all the Royal assignments they have before they welcome their first baby, to the world, who is expected to be born in late-April or early-May.
