It was reported, earlier this year, that Korean mega K-pop group BLACKPINK will be making a comeback in April. The date has finally been confirmed as April 5, 2019. Fans are so excited!

BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group consisting of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rose. They are formed by YG Entertainment, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. The group was first seen in 2016 with their debut album, "Square One," when they also made their first number-one song in Korea entitled "Whistle." Together with "Boombayah," they also made their first number-one hit on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart in the same year.

BLACKPINK is so famous right now for breaking records as one of their songs, "Ddu-du Ddu-du," which has been recorded as the most viewed music video on YouTube within 24-hours in South Korea.

What to look forward

YG Entertainment announced the BLACKPINK's mini album to be released April 5 and titled "KILL THIS LOVE." The title is also the featured key track on this mini album. However, the exact number of songs has not yet been announced.

The song is said to be "more intense" than their famous "Ddu-du Ddu-du" as shown on the teaser featuring one of the members, Lisa. This is going to be their first, in 9 months, since "DDDD" was released June of 2018.

The new song is choreographed by 4 world class choreographers.

It is more dynamic than their previous songs and will definitely meet or even exceed their fans' expectations all over the world. The members are currently up all night working hard doing their music video. They are now on their 4th day of filming.

Fans show support and excitement

After the announcement, social media hasn't stopped talking about it.

Famous pages and companies such as Billboard, The Korea Herald, and Universal Music Group posted the album teaser. This has been trending all day and the fans who are also called "Blinks" showed support for their favorite group by the hashtags: #KILLTHISLOVE and #BLACKPINK.

  • "BLACKPINK didn't raise a weak BLINK. We are born ready!" said @telechubbies on Twitter sharing the group's teaser album.
  • @_kimchisoo also tweeted, "Refreshing my ears with their previous album songs because the article said #KILLTHISLOVE is more intense than ever. I'm ready!"
  • "I'm so excited omg! The girls are coming back." @joonfairiesoo24 replied to a post.

The mini-album is coming in 10 days and there is so much to look forward on the "Kill This Love" song and music video.
