Eric Braeden said that it's obvious the actor never truly got over the death of his son Julian in 2014. Doug Davidson stated that he knew that family and friends did all they could to help St. John through the dark days after his son died.

"TMZ" reported that it was a friend checking on the actor who portrayed Neil Winters who found him dead on Sunday. Braeden said the entire cast and crew of the CBS daytime drama was shocked and saddened.

Davidson said St. John was truly going to be missed and the question on everyone's mind now is how "The Young and the Restless" will handle this delicate situation. Grieving fans and castmates will desire that Kristoff St. John be given a fitting goodbye that eases the pain of his death.

Neil should have an appropriate sendoff

There are several ways that Kristoff St. John's character could be laid to rest and Celeb Dirty Laundry says that "Y&R" fans want Neil to have an appropriate sendoff. Naturally, he would have to die offscreen so they could have him pass away in an accident. The powers that be might even have Neil decide to move away from Genoa City to be with Ashley and then later die of natural causes.
