It's no wonder that Erin Krakow of “When Calls the Heart” brings out the best in her co-stars of the hit Hallmark Channel drama, and it's no secret that she makes the best of her social media imprint. The actress greeted fans this morning, October 6, with a lovely bouquet of purple blooms, and the beloved and lovely brunette never forgets to remember special birthdays and occasions for friends and castmates. Despite being caught up in the rush of wrapping up filming for Season 6 on “When Calls the Heart” early this week, Erin always keeps up with her calendar of birthdays, and on October 4, she sent out a sweet and simple greeting on Twitter to the co-star who captured her heart as Mountie Jack Thornton to her Elizabeth, Daniel Lissing.

Short and thoughtful remembrance

“Happy, happy, happy birthday to one of my very favorites: @DLissing” captioned Erin Krakow in her birthday wish to her leading men of five seasons. Her screen capture of a scene exhibited one of those sweet and loving smiles between the characters of Jack and Elizabeth, the kind that “When Calls the Heart” fans seem to collect in their emotional scrapbooks. The actress closes her post with #HI.

The responses from fans only took nanoseconds. Faithful viewers replied with their own saved and cherished images of the characters remembered from their first kiss, that was almost a full year in coming, to the deeply meaningful vows that the actors themselves wrote for their characters in last season’s wedding ceremony.

Many fans took Daniel Lissing’s decision to depart from “When Calls the Heart” last spring as a personal affront, after becoming so invested in the on-screen relationship. Erin Krakow, Lori Loughlin, and Lissing sat together, clasping hands, as they explained that they had nothing but “love and support” for one another and that the ultimate decision for Lissing did not come easily.

He expressed gratitude to his on-screen partners and being awestruck, with the character arc that Erin Krakow portrayed through the final episode of Season 5. The connection between friends lasts longer than any television season, and these friends share something enduring. The trauma is fading for most fans, and many of them expressed only good wishes for future projects with Daniel Lissing.

From silly to sound advice

The day before her greeting to Lissing, Erin Krakow had nothing but glowing words for veteran co-star Jack Wagner on his birthday, along with silly camera poses. Wagner portrays Bill Avery on “When Calls the Heart.” Avery was the best friend to Jack Thornton, and the actor gave Daniel Lissing warm support and sound advice about emerging from the onslaught that can happen after leaving a fan-favorite show. Back in August, Wagner related that his counsel to Lissing was to keep his focus on his acting craft, per a Click2Houston feature, and always believe for a better future.

Jack Wagner knows the ropes of coming and going through many much-loved roles, and he is delighted and excited for what lies ahead on “When Calls the Heart.”

Season 6 of the drama will likely seem like a homecoming for Wagner, as Rob Estes comes to Hope Valley as an artist from Abigail Stanton’s past. Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, and Estes all share a history from the “90210” and “Melrose Place” franchises.

Erin Krakow has two-holiday films to delight fans. One will be the “When Calls the Heart” Christmas movie to lead into the new season for the drama, and the other is “Marrying Father Christmas” opposite Niall Matter, another castmate from the Hallmark Channel hit.

Daniel Lissing will star in a new Hallmark Christmas movie with Brooke Orsay this season.

“Christmas in Love” is set to join the Yuletide movie fest on November 11, and involves a romance between a family baker and a high-powered businessman. Lissing's 2016 feature, "December Bride" will stay in holiday rotation.
