The latest updates and spoilers for "Daredevil" Season 3 reveal the possible return of a fan-favorite character in the series. Season 2 cast member Elodie Yung hinted the return of her character Elektra Natchios to the Marvel Netflix series after her final encounter with Matt Murdock in "The Defenders" mini-series.

There is also a new trailer for the show focusing on Matt's newest adversary, Benjamin Pointdexter (Bullseye). The plot of season 3 will have Matt return to Hell's Kitchen and reclaim his identity after Wilson Fisk sets up a series of events that will ruin Matt's personal and professional reputation.

Elektra returns to the show

According to Comic Book.com, cast member Elodie Yung replied to a fan post on Twitter after citing that he will not watch season 3 if Elektra is not on the show. Yung playfully stated that she would order pizza and watch "Daredevil" together.

While the tweet was meant to for just fun, comic book fans believed that Yung's playful response could mean a surprising foreshadowing of things to come this season. Elektra first debut in season 2 as she goes to Hell's Kitchen to stop the Hand's operation within the city. She soon dies during the season 2 finale but was brought back to life by Alexandria in "The Defenders."

Elektra is also revealed as the Black Sky, an ancient warrior that is prophesied by the Hand in helping them conquer the world.

Matt was able to save her soul as they are buried alive as Midland Circle collapsed. Elektra might also be responsible for bringing Matt to the church, hinting that she survived the ordeal.

Meet Bullseye

Netflix streamed a new trailer for "Daredevil" season 3 focusing on Bullseye's character history. The trailer shows that Benjamin Pointdexter is an FBI agent with uncanny accuracy and disturbing mental issues.

His work with the FBI has always kept him in check, but something horrible has happened that put him on edge.

Kingpin soon discovers Benjamin's unique skill and untapped potential and decides to manipulate him into becoming his enforcer. Fisk also gave Benjamin the Daredevil costume in order to frame Matt and turn the public against him.

Matt soon fought Bullseye and realizes that Fisk found someone that could match him in combat.

Bullseye's origin will be similar to the Marvel comics as Screen Rant pointed out that some the flashback scenes reveal him to be a baseball player as a child and living with an abusive father.

"Daredevil" season 3 will premiere on October 19 on Netflix.
