The latest updates and spoilers for "Avengers 4" revealed new details of the film's plot as a Hollywood insider named Daniel RK claimed that the fourth film will take place five years after the events of "Avengers: Infinity War."

There is also a leaked photo of new matching costumes for the movie's toyline merchandise. The fourth film will feature the surviving heroes teaming-up once again to save the whole universe after Thanos used the full power of the Infinity Stones to wipe out haft of humanity. They will also have to figure out a way to reverse the effects of the Infinity Stones and bring their fallen friends back to life.

Five-year gap

According to Express UK, Daniel stated that "Avengers 4" will have a five-year gap, not a few months. He also claimed that the possible title of the film will be called "Annihilation" based from the popular Marvel comic book arc of the same name. The story will also incorporate time travel elements as the heroes will use the Quantum Realm to travel back to prevent certain events that led to the infamous Thanos snap.

The time travel plot will also bring Scott Lang (Ant-Man) back to Earth after being trapped inside the Quantum Realm during the events of "Ant-Man and the Wasp." Other returning MCU heroes that are featured in the film include the former Hawkeye, Clint Barton who now goes by the name Ronin after his family perished in the snap, and Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) after receiving Nick Fury's message.

Marvel Studios writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely told The Hollywood Reporter in a previous interview that the fourth film will have the biggest and most emotional impact among phase 3 films and its ending will give them time to create new stories, not just the main cast but the next generation of heroes.

New Avengers 4 costumes

According to Screen Rant, Instagram account kpow_ok posted a photo revealing the team's new armored outfit in "Avengers 4." It shows Thor and "Guardians of the Galaxy" sole survivor Rocket wearing matching white armor as a promotion for the film's toyline.

The photo also featured Captain Marvel and Captain America who also sports the same armor as Thor and Rocket.

The armor is said to be used when they travel to the Quantum Realm and their designs are slightly modified versions of the Ant-Man and Wasp suits made by Hank Pym.

The packaging also hinted that the heroes will face another foe in the story, meaning that Thanos is not the only "big bad" in the film.

"Avengers 4" will premiere in cinemas on May 3, 2019.
