Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" indicate that Wednesday, August 5 will be a day of mayhem and madness inside the Abbott mansion. Soap Hub teases that John Abbott's family members will all be turning against each other and pushing their own agendas. Summer will return to town gunning for her mother, who will be dealing with a verbal assault from Dina whose health is rapidly declining because of Alzheimer's. Jack and Ashley will express concern for their mother's well-being, while Kyle will somehow manage to become a hero in the midst of all the chaos.

Celeb Dirty Laundry says that things will get heated, so it looks like this is a can't-miss episode.

Kyle to the rescue of damsels in distress

Spoilers indicate that Kyle will emerge as a hero on Wednesday. He may prevent a knock-down, drag-out fight between Summer and Phyllis, or he might have to stop Dina from going off on her former daughter-in-law. Soap Hub teases that Madame Mergeron will remind Phyllis of how she hurt Jack in the past, so it's possible that her medical diagnosis may cause her to go off on Phyllis.

When she first came to town Dina stabbed Nikki so perhaps her violent side will rear its head again. However it goes down, and whichever Genoa City residents are involved, one thing is certain: Jack's son is going to do the right thing and save the day.

Soap Hub also says that Jack and Ashley are going to be pretty concerned about their mother, so if Dina attacks Phyllis, this could be the reason why.

Jack, Summer, and Ashley need closure

Ashley and her brother have been very concerned about their mother's health and when Dina first began showing signs of illness, she stabbed Nikki with a fork.

Lashing out at Jack's ex could be a sign that it is time tor Ms. Mergeron's family to take drastic measures regarding her care. It may be necessary to have her placed in a facility. It's probably time for Jack and his sister (as well as Summer) to have some closure. Until they do the Abbott house will be filled with chaos.

The issues surrounding Summer, Billy, and Phyllis have not been going on as long as Dina's decline but it's time to wrap up both storylines.

CDL spoilers tease that Summer will be angry when she returns from Jabot and she will be ready to do battle with her mother. Spoilers say she will not give up her fight for Billy anytime soon but she needs to move on.
