It is official now, "Vanderpump Rules" star, Lala Kent has been engaged to Hollywood producer Randall Emmett. The star’s representative confirmed the news to PEOPLE. Randall proposed to the 28-year-old during a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The starlet was celebrating her 28th birthday at the Esperanza An Auberge Resort when the 46-years-old Hollywood producer popped the question and was accepted by the "Vanderpump Rules" star.

PEOPLE added that the engagement happened when the much in love couple was vacationing at the Cabo San Lucas. Randall had erected a screen for his girl to watch one of her favorite sitcom, “Friends.”

Suddenly the screen went blank, and instead, a video of the lovebirds started playing, and it captured the swell time they had in the past.

The couple also posted the news on their Instagram account and People Magazine was there to capture the special moments.

The groom sought his would-be bride’s father’s permission

Lala also revealed that her would be hubby first sought her father’s permission before he went on with the rest of the formalities.

Randall was planning to propose to his girl for a long time and therefore asked for permission from Lala‘s father. Tragically Lala’s father passed away sometimes after and she became emotional when she revealed this incident.

She said to People that after her father passed away, which was a shock to her; this was an extraordinary moment. She added that her papa is undoubtedly around in spirit to bless his daughter.

Kent's engagement ring

The ring which the starlet wore has been procured from New York City jeweler Richie Rich from Leon Diamond in New York.

Kent shared the news and also posted a series of pictures which showed the much in love pair kissing. Also visible was the massive diamond ring which was sported by Lala on her ring finger.

The Hollywood producer spent $150,000 on the “Vanderpump Rules” star’s sparkler. Reportedly, it took 14 days to design the ring from start to finish.

So are the wedding bells to be rung soon? No said Kent. They are in no mood to rush forward. One of the reasons being cited is the demise of Lala’s father.

The family is going through a period of transition, and the couple is planning to wait for a year before deciding on their marriage.
