A few weeks ago, data miners of "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2" dropped a massive hint about the fan-favorite fusion's appearance in the movie when they revealed that the upcoming DLC would contain the new Broly, paired with a character whose description matched Gogeta. Now, a tweet from "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" animator might have confirmed the theory about the addition of Gogeta in the movie.

Tweet about the NikoNiko broadcast

On Twitter, a "Dragon Ball Super" fan shared a tweet which quoted the animator (Yoshihiko Umakoshi). According to the fan, The animator appeared on a live Niko Niko broadcast and said that he is working on "Dragon Ball" and practicing Gogeta.

Niko Niko is basically a Japanese video sharing service on the internet which holds an event, known as "Anime Style Event," every month. Because a fan of the anime show tweeted this information, we can't say for sure that he really said it on the show, but if we check the broadcast schedules on Niko Niko's official site, it confirms that Yoshihiko Umakoshi did appear in the show on September 1. Unfortunately, the record of the broadcast isn't available online for us to watch.

The quoted tweet also mentions that Yoshihiko Umakoshi isn't listed in the credits, as a matter of fact, none of the animators are listed in the official website credits, except Naohiro Shintani.

According to Comicbook, even the talented animators like Takahashi, Tsuji, and Ide, who are also working on the movie, were only mentioned in an official manner thanks to animator Shintani.

Movie re-releases

Another evidence of Gogeta's addition to the "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" would be that, a few months ago, three "Dragon Ball" movies from the 1990s were remastered for a re-release in select U.S.

theatres. One of the three movies is about Broly's origin which is set to be re-released on September 15 and September 17.

Later on, it was revealed that Broly was the main antagonist in the upcoming movie. One of the other two movies is about Goku and Vegeta's fusion, which will be re-released in the month of November.

And lastly, the final movie is about Bardock, father of Goku, which will also be released in November.

These sudden re-releases definitely have some connection with the upcoming movie and we'll see it once the movie is released at the end of this year.

Considering all the information and the talks about Gogeta's appearance in the movie, we can conclude that if Akira Toriyama finally decides to introduce him as a series canon, he'll be appearing in a Super Saiyan Blue form.

The new "Dragon Ball Super" movie is set to be released on December 14, 2018, in Japan. Funimation has acquired the theatrical rights to the movie and is planning to release it in the United States and Canada in January 2019
