It was Simon Cowell who made his way to Hollywood to receive the star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in the television category.

Simon is a British TV personality and also the brain behind "America Got Talent," "American Idol," "X-Factor." He is also known to have been instrumental in giving a chance to many famous singers such as Kelly Clarkson, Katharine McPhee, Louis Tomlinson, Adam Lambert, and Leona Lewis.

As of 2018, more than 2,600 stars are on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Son Eric steals the show

It was his family who became the connoisseur of every eye.

Simon was accompanied by his partner for the last five years, Lauren Silverman, and their 4-year-old son, Eric.

The family also included Adam, 12, a son from a previous marriage of Silverman and all were impeccably dressed in matching white and dark blue/black looks.

Creator of 'X-Factor,' 'Got Talent' format

Cowell, 59, started his career handling mails for EMI Publishing house and going to set up his label, S Records.

He created his Production Company in 2004, Syco Entertainment along with Sony Music and signed artists which included names such as Louis Tomlinson, Camila Cabello, and Little Mix. Cowell created and launched internationally “The X-factor” and “Got Talent” format.

Introduced many singers

He was the judge on “Pop Idol” in the UK where he made his first TV appearance and was the creator of “American Idol” in 2002.

For eight years, Cowell remained on the judging panel along with Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul transformed the talent show into one of the most popular series in the US.

He was instrumental in the success of “Idol,” “The X Factor,” and versions “Britain’s Got Talent” and “America’s Got Talent,” and also partnered Univision Television to create “La Banda.”

Cowell had many memorable moments during his stint as a judge in both US and UK talent hunt shows.

One of his most remarkable episodes was one in which the world discovered Susan Boyle.

The episode which was not aired in the US soon became viral and became a trendsetter with one of the judges even accepting that the judges were often cynical and it was a wakeup call for everyone.
