Kamal Hassan's much-awaited multi-lingual film "Viswaroopam 2" was released in the US on August 9, 2018.

He goes into a hiatus for years, and his films make an appearance once in many years, but when it does, it is with a bang. We have Padma Bhushan Dr. Kamal Hassan. Five years is a pretty long time to make a sequel of a film, and this is precisely the time taken for Kamal Hassan to create the second part of his action-packed Vishwaroopam Franchise.

The sequel is based on Indian background

Kamal is once again in his role as a RAW agent, and the happenings in "Vishwaroopam 2" pertains to a period before and after the events shown in Vishwaroopam.

Vishwaroopam was set with Afghanistan and the US as its background while Vishwaroopam 2 is set in India. The flick chronicles the battles between the two protagonists, Wisaam Kashmiri played by Kamal Hassan and Omar Qureshi, an Al Qaeda operative.

Whos is Waseem Kashmiri? Mystery Solved

The sequel took five years to materialize, and this is surprising since the plans of Vishwaroopam 2 was already drawn by the time Vishwaroopam was ready for release.

The Timeline of "Vishwaroopam 2" has been cleverly set by the makers for a period preceding the timeline of Vishwaroopam and after. The buzz for the flick is high, and with just four days for release, a trailer has been released which seems to show Wasim Kashmiri as a traitor.

"Vishwaroopam 2" will probably reveal the true identity of RAW agent Major Waseem Kashmiri.
