The latest updates and spoilers for "Avengers 4" reveal the possible future of Captain America villain, Red Skull, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Film directors Joe and Anthony Russo teased the possibility of his next appearance during Vudu's viewing party in "Avengers: Infinity War."

Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, also revealed his plans for the Phase 4 in the MCU, particularly the actors who are tipped to leave the film franchise due to their contract obligations. The fourth film marks the end of Phase 3 as the surviving heroes must figure out a way to save the universe after Thanos used the full power of the Infinity Stones.

The Russo Brothers on Red Skull's return

According to Screen Rant, the Russo Brothers answered fan questions about Red Skull during the "Infinity War" viewing party. The questions that were asked include Red Skull leaving planet Vormir and his desire to obtain absolute power. The official "Infinity War" Twitter page posted their answers and it revealed that he is free to leave Vormir and he is after one of the stones.

Red Skull first appeared in "Captain America: The First Avenger" as the leader of HYDRA during World War 2.

He was also the product of the failed Super Soldier program that left him disfigured. He used the war as cover up to find the Tesseract and weaponized to conquer the world.

Steve Rogers was able to foil his final plan and the Tesseract seemingly destroyed him. However, he survived the encounter the ended up in Vormir as the Soul Stone's guardian.

He helped Thanos obtain the stone by telling him to sacrifice the one he loves, his adopted daughter Gamora.

Red Skull's return to earth spell trouble for Steve and the Avengers, considering he still craves power and will absolutely do anything to achieve his goal.

Replacing actors in the MCU

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told The Costco Connection that he is aware of the expiration of some of the actors' contracts in the franchise, he has not made any concrete solution for that and plans to pan it out after "Avengers 4."

"They do change with the times," Feige told The Costco Connection.

"I have no doubt that all of our actors, who are in peak physical shape, have got another 50 years in them to be heroes."

Marvel fans are wondering if they will see the deaths of founding members as it is rumored that Tony Stark will make the ultimate sacrifice to undo Thanos's work in the movie. This will also mark the beginning of a new team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes which include Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and The Wasp.
