He is a long-time friend of the British royals, but Nicky Haslam appears to dislike Prince Harry's new wife, Meghan Markle. A recent report from the Daily Mail suggests that the Old Etonian interior designer insulted the "Suits" actress. Haslam also had negative things to say about Markle's father and siblings, and their absence from the royal wedding on May 19. It was a "blessing in disguise" he felt, because the royals may not have had any idea how to deal with them. However, Prince Charles might not let it pass, as an unidentified palace insider recently told Hollywood Life that he is going to confront Haslam about his harsh comments concerning Markle and her family.

Prince Charles is disturbed

According to the unnamed palace insider, Prince Charles has been bothered by many press releases recently. The insider went on to say that the Prince of Wales decided to step in to speak with Haslam as his comments about Markle's family weren't considerate. The Duchess of Sussex has been receiving a lot of negative comments following the official announcement that she is in a relationship with Prince Harry.

Prince Charles, Prince Harry to control what friends provide media

The insider also said that Prince Charles and his son may not have full control over what comes from the news outlets, but they will try to limit what their friends and family can disclose to the press.

It is alleged that Prince Harry is worried that the racist and sexist comments that Meghan Markle, 36, receives from some people in the media might wreck her emotionally, just like what happened to the prince's mother, the late Princess Diana of Wales. Apparently, Nicky Haslam made defamatory comments about the Duchess of Sussex and her family.

Wendy Williams also had negative things to say.

The 78-year-old interior designer said that Markle's family is "frightfully common," and the sole person that isn't part of it is her mother, Doria Ragland. He also criticized the Duchess of Sussex's almost $270,000 Givenchy bridal gown by British designer Clare Waight Keller and said that it didn't suit her well.

He added that it looked like it was "made of concrete."

Prince Charles' pal upset about wedding invite?

Following Haslam's insensitive comments about Markle, many people were wondering if he was upset that he didn't get to perform at the royal nuptials in May. The interior designer is also a cabaret singer and has performed in front of Queen Victoria on one occasion. Former "Made In Chelsea" star, Millie Mackintosh wasn't invited to the wedding either.
