Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" indicate that Jack's obsession with his paternity will kick into another gear this week. Mr. Abbott has been up in arms ever since Dina told him that Phillip Chancellor is his biological father. He confided in Neil that once confirmed, he wants everything that belongs to him as the son of this Genoa City icon.

Jack has already approached Cane and Billy about exhuming Phillip's body for a DNA test. Cane is worried that he will lose his position in the family and denied the request but Billy believes his mother should be called in on the situation.

Spoilers from Soaps She Knows confirmed last week that Jess Walton is returning as Jill on July 13.

Jill will be outraged at Jack's plan

Jack desires to know for certain who his biological father is, so he can move on with his life. When Dina confirmed that Phillip Chancellor, is his dad, Jack realized that he could be heir to another dynasty. Running Chancellor Industries would keep Mr. Abbott in the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed, and take away the pain of losing his position at Jabot. This would also let him retain his status among the Genoa City elite.

Cane was so alarmed he tried to convince Billy that Jill should be kept out of it but Billy believes his mother should be advised of what is going on.

Celeb Dirty Laundry states that "Cane will become unglued" and "Jack will go in for the kill." Meanwhile, Jill will be notified and become outraged at the idea of her beloved Phillip's body being exhumed. She will decide to return to Genoa City from traveling abroad to deal with the situation in person.

Jack may turn out to be an Abbott after all

CDL indicates that a third DNA test will be done, so Jill obviously is going to give her consent to exhume Phillip's body. The spoilers also bring up another possible scenario which is that somehow Jack will turn out to be an Abbott after all. In the meantime, Billy will enjoy having his mom back in town and will love watching Cane squirm as he tries to solidify his place at Chancellor Industries.

Fans will be delighted to have Jill back in Genoa City, but there has been no word regarding how long her portrayer, Jess Walton, will stick around this time. Celeb Dirty Laundry has promised to update this storyline when new spoilers are available, so until then continue to watch "The Young and the Restless" weekday afternoons on CBS at 12:30 PM EST. One thing is certain, and that is that with Mrs. Atkinson back in town there is sure to be drama.
