Fans on her Twitter account extended well wishes. Many offered their congratulations, while others gave the verbal thumbs up and additional words of encouragement.
Amber and her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, named their son James, US Magazine reported. This is Amber’s second child. She also has her daughter Leah, who is nine-years-old, and who she co-parents with her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley.
Reality star refreshingly open and honest, sharing pregnancy news and details
The MTV reality star has been revealing details about her pregnancy with her fans and followers. In November, the “Teen Mom OG” cast member disclosed on social media that she was pregnant, E! Online noted. She also posted her baby’s gender publicly.
She periodically posted photos of her baby bump, also. Someone reportedly close to her even told E! Online that Amber definitely had food cravings while she was carrying her son. According to the unnamed source, the TV star most craved pasta.
Unlike some of the other MTV reality celebs, Amber was rather forthcoming with information about her pregnancy and the effect on Leah.
She posted a photo of her daughter, for example, who was holding a baby doll.
Amber captioned the picture that “Leah knows about the baby.” She also said the image exemplified that Leah was preparing for little brother James’ arrival.
Amber delivered baby James at quite an early hour. He was born at 1:39 AM and weighed seven pounds and 11 ounces at birth.
The 27-year-old mom was honest in addressing her worries that she might experience postpartum depression after James’ birth.

She told US Weekly that she was taking anti-depressant medication during her pregnancy and also noted that the medication was safe for the baby she was carrying.
At the time she opened up to the magazine she described her pregnancy as “going smoothly.”
Amber’s aims for her family are admirable
Fans respect Amber’s candor. For instance, before she had James, she relayed her aspiration that she might enjoy a blended family with Andrew, Gary, and his wife Kristina. She said that she was genuinely happy, at that point (at least), for the first time in her life.
Amber met Andrew when she was featured on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition.” In the summer of 2017, the two began dating. Andrew works as a cinematographer. Earlier this year, Amber assured that she’s not in a rush to marry Andrew (or anyone, for that matter). She is content with her life.
Fans want the best for the MTV star
After her roller-coaster relationship with ex Gary, fans are hopeful that Amber will continue on the chill-feel path she described in the not-too-distant past. Too, her “Teen Mom OG” fans appreciate that Amber recognizes when she needs help, such as in obtaining treatment for her depression. If she does experience postpartum depression after James’ birth, she is self-aware and will reach out, fans believe.
