A more heroic calling
Krysten Ritter made her appearance during the Comicpalooza event in Houston, Texas and offered her thoughts on Jessica Jones in the third season. Ritter stated that her character has learned a lot from her encounters in the first and second seasons, and this allowed her to see the good in herself, despite the criticisms she faces every day. The latter also teased a more "heroic" and positive Jessica Jones in the show.
"Maybe we'll get to see her be a bit of a hero, maybe we get to see her move forward in a more positive way. Maybe we see her hating herself less," Ritter said. "I don't think it's gonna be sunshine be like sunshine and rainbows for Jessica Jones anytime soon.
But I'd love to see her - even if it's a small step - step into her potential."
The Hashtag Show previously reported that four characters will be added into the show's third season. The first two characters; Elliot and Collins, are teased to be the show's versions of Edward Garner and Curtis Jackson a.k.a Power Broker.
Edward Garner will likely exploit Jessica's powers in a negative way, similar to how Kilgrave used her in the season 1.
Curtis Broker in the show will likely be one of the superpowered individuals that were experimented on by IGH, and he will have the same powers as his comic book counterpart.
Getting ready for production
Ritter confirmed during the Comicpalooza event (via ComicBook) that season 3 will be filming very soon. The latter stated that she has been boxing and training her body to be physically fit for the stunts and explained that she needs the stamina for the long hours of work ahead.
