Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau announced their baby news to their fans and followers this week on Facebook but before doing so, the "Teen Mom 2" dad was forced to break the news to his ex-wife, Kailyn Lowry. According to a new report, Marroquin wasn't looking forward to sitting down with Lowry, the mother of his four-year-old son Lincoln. Luckily, the potentially awkward moment between the exes didn't go as badly as Marroquin had feared.

“[Lincoln] knew, so I didn’t want him spilling the beans before I did, but she took it well," Marroquin told Us Weekly on May 30.

"I think we’re both at a point in our lives where we are happy for each other." Marroquin and Lowry got married in 2012 and welcomed their son one year later. Then, in 2016, Lowry announced their marriage had come to an end and quickly became pregnant with her third child, Lux Russell, with her now-ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez.

Although Lowry is struggling to find love as she attempts to expand her family, she told the magazine that she wished her ex-husband "well" as he prepares to welcome his second child. As for Marroquin's former girlfriend and "Teen Mom 2" co-star, Briana DeJesus, she also had kind words for her ex and wished him well before making it clear that she was glad it wasn't her who was pregnant.

How did Javi Marroquin react to Lauren Comeau's pregnancy?

According to Javi Marroquin, he went through “so many emotions” after learning his girlfriend was pregnant. As fans may know, Marroquin dated Comeau briefly last summer before his months-long romance with Briana DeJesus. Then, in March of this year, the couple reconciled and quickly conceived their first child.

“When we realized there was a possibility of having a baby, we decided to take the pregnancy test while together," Marroquin explained to Us Weekly.

After Lauren Comeau's pregnancy was confirmed, Marroquin said his excitement was followed by cold feet. As he explained, he nearly went into shock, telling himself that he couldn't believe what was happening.

He then considered his first child, Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, who is almost a five-year-old.

According to the "Teen Mom 2" dad, he and his girlfriend don't know their child's gender quite yet but are planning to learn the news during a gender reveal party with his son. As for more kids, Marroquin said he and his girlfriend aren't thinking that far into the future quite yet.
