The latest updates and spoilers for "Deadpool 2" reveal a bonus scene from the sequel. The film's screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick announced on Reddit during an AMA session that they added a particular scene on the first act that was not shown in its theatrical release due to the heavy scoop and the graphic nature of the scene.

The screenwriters also revealed that the post-credits from the movie are canon in the "X-Men" film franchise. "Deadpool 2" is currently showing in cinemas worldwide and it features Wade Wilson trying to save a mutant kid named Russell from Cable as he assembles his own team to stop him.

The bonus scene

According to Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the bonus scene will feature Deadpool trying different to kill himself after he failed to save his girlfriend, Vanessa, from being killed by the crime boss and his gang. Wade has been trying to commit suicide in different and horrifying ways such as drinking Drano, jumping from a Polar Bear enclosure, and more.

Wade's motivation in throughout the film was his grief over losing Vanessa and seeing that saving Russell's life at the hands of evildoers and Cable will redeem himself from his failures.

In order to do it properly, Wade enlisted a bunch of mutant mercenaries and named themselves "X-Force" in order to rescue Russell, but it did not turn out the way he planned it.

All is canon

The screenwriters confirmed that the post-credits scenes from the sequel are all canon after they answered the comic book fans' questions on the Reddit Q&A session.

"Yes, the after credit scene is CANON!" Reese and Wernick wrote. "Don't expect that device to stick around this movie, though."

For those who have not seen the movie, the end-credits scenes featured Nega Sonic Teenage Warhead and her girlfriend Yukio fixing Cable's time-hopping device after he used the last of its energy to save Deadpool from being killed by his hands after he took a bullet meant for Russell.

This act prevented him from killing Wade and save Russell down the path of evil that led to his family's death.

Wade saw them fixing the device and decided to test it again much to their chagrin. Deadpool began "fixing" the timeline by preventing Vanessa's death and killing the mob boss. His second attempt involves killing a version of himself from the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" film. Lastly, he went to kill Ryan Reynolds before he read the script from the live-action "Green Lantern" movie.
