Prince Harry's royal wedding with Meghan Markle is just around the corner and fans have been anticipating every detail of their big day. With all the preparations in full swing, one would expect it to go without any hitches -- just like Prince William and Kate Middleton's enchanting wedding in 2011.

But a new report revealed that the couple's wedding was almost ruined when Prince Harry decided to show off his naughty side. Known to be the family's prankster, the youngest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana pulled a cheeky joke that nearly caused mayhem on his big brother's big day.

Harry, the cheeky brother

Appearing on ITV documentary Invitation to a Royal Wedding, royal cake maker Paul Courtney shared what really went on behind the scenes during one of the biggest royal events in history.

Apparently, Prince Harry almost ruined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding with a naughty prank. Courtney recalled how Meghan Markle's future husband did not hesitate to show off his fun side and lighten things up at the kitchen.

At that time, the famous cake maker was just putting the finishing touches on Prince William and Kate's stunning wedding cake when Prince Harry dropped by to see it. Courtney admitted that he and his team were all relieved after completing the cake just a few hours before the ceremony.

That was when the red-haired prince "came bounding in and walked up to it" and enthusiastically asked if it's chocolate. He then picked up a piece of the chocolate and ate it without hesitation.

But what really made everyone in the room worried was when the fifth in line to the throne pretended to box the towering cake, almost knocking it down.

"We were like – 'Oh no'– … it was fun but a slightly heart-stopping moment," Courtney added.

Fortunately, everything goes smoothly, and Prince Harry's cheeky prank did not cause any problem at all.

Will Prince William get back at his brother?

Now that Prince Harry is about to tie the knot with Meghan Markle next month, many are wondering if his older brother is planning get his revenge.

It's no secret that the royal siblings have a close and fun relationship, which has been evident through the years.

If Prince William decided to pull the same prank, he could expect to taste a lemon elderflower cake covered in buttercream and fresh flowers by pastry chef Claire Ptak.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
