Fans are shocked to hear the news today that after six years together Nikki Bella and John Cena have ended their relationship. Nikki shared the news on her Instagram page, so there is no arguing that it is true. For now, the couple isn't explaining the reason for this big split. The fans are waiting to hear from them. They have starred together on her show "Total Bellas" along with her sister and were also featured on "Total Divas."
Nikki announces the split
Nikki Bella went to her Instagram to share about the split. She simply said, "While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another.
We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives." One thing is that Nikki has always made it clear she wanted children, but John didn't so she was willing to give up on that dream for him. This could have been a deal breaker. She always acted like she was fine with it so she could be with him and was happy being an aunt.
At first, John Cena didn't even want to get married, but then he decided that he would propose and get married to Nikki. The two never actually got married, even though it seemed like a wedding was getting close from all of the talk on "Total Bellas." More than likely, John won't be on the show anymore unless there is some that they already filmed. You can assume that some has filmed and maybe even part of the issues will air on the show when new episodes come out.
When did this happen?
The news came out today, but the couple were just seen together last week at Wrestlemania 34. They might have just been playing it up for the cameras, but fans are surprised just one week later to hear the news that they are over. This seemed like a match made in Heaven. When you watched them together, it was obvious that the couple had strong feelings for each other.
On April 5, they talked about how they were almost done with their wedding plans. It sounded like these two were doing well and there was no reason to think that they would call it quits. John said he was letting Nikki take the lead on sharing details and they said that he ran the checkbook. Now, it looks like they will be canceling all of these wedding plans and hoping that they can get their money back for some of it.
