Colin Farrell has checked himself into Rehab as a precautionary measure to make that he remains sober, according to Radar Online. Colin Farrell has been clean and sober for more than a decade, but according to friends, he feels that he needs a bit of a tune-up to maintain his sobriety.

Colin Farrell puts his health first

The actor checked into The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona, sometime last week, according to celebrity news reports. The rehab treatment center is well known for helping other Celebrities, including, Selena Gomez, Harvey Weinstein, and Tiger Woods, get their lives back on track.

Sources close to the "Miami Vice" star revealed that he decided to check himself in on his own. He just wants to make sure he refreshes the tools to maintain his sober health.

Farrell reveals he does not want to relive his past mistakes

It is no secret that in his younger days, Colin Farrell was a real wild child and battled drug and alcohol addiction. Following his first rehab stint, Farrell stated in 2014 that the sex tape with Playboy model Nicole Narain was one of the biggest shocks of his life. Farrell, who dated Narain, 39, in 2003 for like a minute, was very upset when she recorded the tape and in 2006, the father of two sued after the 14-minute tape was released.

He described the tape and the lawsuit as “horrifying," Farrell recalled to Elle.

Then he spent several hours in court pleading his case as to why he did not want the tape released. Sadly for Colin, he was unsuccessful with his pleas and the tape is out there for all to see. This is something that no parent wants to have to explain to their children. However, once it is out there, especially in today's world with the internet, it is out there for good and no matter how hard you try it will be something that won't stay hidden despite how hard you try.

Colin Farrel has two sons, James Padraig Farrell, 14, with American model Kim Bordenave, and Henry Tadeusz Farrell, eight, was born with Alicja Bachleda-Curus. Colin has also had a pretty well-documented love-life throughout the years and has been linked to celebrities, including Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, and even the late Elizabeth Taylor.

I am glad to hear, however, that Colin Farrell, 41, has taken steps in the right direction to attempt to protect his children and keep his health and sobriety the main priority in his life. I wish him the best and a restful and successful rehab tune-up. What are your thoughts on Colin Farrell's return to rehab to maintain his sobriety?
