Meri even opened up to People about her catfishing experience by saying “During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not whom they said they were.” This revelation came only a few months after news broke out about Kody divorcing Meri so that he could legally marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.

He did this because once he married Robyn, he could legally adopt her children from a previous marriage. None the less, Meri seems to be hurt by this divorce, and she and Kody have been recently trying to repair their marriage by attending marriage therapy.
