It’s been quite a while since the last new episode of Alaskan Bush People aired on Discovery Channel. But since the network has been airing re-runs, there are expectations that a brand new season will soon premiere. We got an update from one of the Browns.

Snow says new season airs in May

On Twitter, Snowbird wrote last month, “Should be coming in May,” along with hashtags ABP and alaskanbushpeople. Fans commented that they hope she is talking about the new season of “Alaskan Bush People” while some added that they are excited to see the Brown family again on television.

Snowbird’s Twitter account, however, has since been made private.

There have been rumors that the family has been filming what would be the eighth season of the docuseries. However, the network has not made any announcement, just like the recent seasons. One indication though is a new status update on the show’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. After more than a month of inactivity, the pages reminded “ABP” fans to catch up with the recent episodes of the show.

Billy Browns spends nearly half a million on new land

Meanwhile, the Brown family has made headlines again as Billy reportedly splurge over $400 million on 435 acres of land in Washington. The Brown family left the Alaskan wilderness last year when Ami was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, citing a report from tabloid Radar Online, the Okanogan County tax assessor has confirmed that the Browns purchased four parcels of land in Washington State. The acquisition was made in February from the Wilbur and Teresa Hallnuer, the report said. The land, which currently does not have any house, was near the Lodge on Palmer Lake where the family is reportedly filming the upcoming season of “Alaskan Bush People.”

People want an update on Ami’s condition

What the fans of “Alaskan Bush People” are looking forward to is an update on how the Brown matriarch is doing now.

A few weeks ago, the family shared that Ami’s cancer has disappeared. Basically, she is in remission, and it will take a few more years to finally say that she is already cancer-free.

There were rumors that Ami recently had an emergency hospitalization, although as usual, the family has been silent about it. Rain, Gabe, Bear, Snow and Bam Bam have all been active on social media, but they rarely mention anything about their mother’s sickness, more likely to avoid spoilers for the upcoming Season 8.

Additionally, it is also not surprising to see Ami back at the hospital because she needs to undergo regular checkups and scanning to monitor her health and if her cancer has returned or not.

“Alaskan Bush People” Season 8 is expected to feature the time when Ami and her family received the news that her lungs are already clear, with the tumors already gone. Also, it will show how the family is moving on to a new place they will call Browntown.
