Vanessa Trump filed for a Divorce from Donald Trump Jr., her husband of 12 years and father of her five children ranging in ages from three to 10. Her family and friends and those closest to her who knew what she has been going through are proud of her for making the decision to get some peace. Vanessa is thankful for the support she has received since she filed. She appreciates it that people are not shunning her because she is divorcing the oldest son of the President of the United States.

Us Weekly reports that people close to Vanessa are not surprised about the filing.

They are surprised that the 40-year-old mother of five did not do it sooner. She has been unhappy and dealing with marital issues over the past two years since her father-in-law was campaigning to become president. Some say it must have been pretty bad for Vanessa to decide to walk away from the president’s 40-year-old son. She has hired a criminal defense attorney, David Feureisen, to represent her.

About the filing

No reason has been given for the divorce. Vanessa filed for it to be uncontested in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday, March 15. Page Six had previously reported that the couple has been having marital problems because of her husband's constant traveling and Twitter habits similar to those of his father.

She and her estranged husband made a joint statement indicating they have decided to divorce after 12 years and will go their separate ways. Using the same remarks that most celebrities say when they are divorcing, the statement read that they will always have tremendous respect for each other.

They requested privacy for their family.

According to Us Weekly, Vanessa said she didn't sign up for all she has had to go through since the election. She said her life has not been easy to adjust to, and she had been very stressed ever since the whole presidential election started.

Main priority

Vanessa's main priority is her children.

They are Kai, 10, Donald III, nine, Tristan, six, Spencer, five, and Chloe, three. She vowed to do whatever it takes for the children not to affected by her decision to end her marriage.

President Donald Trump introduced his son to the former model in New York City in 2003 at a fashion show. They married two years later at the president's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. People on social media pointed out that the younger Trump is following in his father's footsteps who divorced both Ivana Trump and Marla Maples before marrying his third wife, Melania.
