After splitting with Javi Marroquin and taking a bit of time for herself, Briana DeJesus is on a mission to find a man. This time around, things are a little different, though. After all, the man she seeks isn't a new boyfriend. The "Teen Mom 2" star told Blasting News exclusively that she and Brittany want to find their father and fix their relationship with him.
Where is Briana's dad
This isn't the first time this year that Briana DeJesus shared her hope for finding her father. It turns out that this has been her New Year's resolution and maybe now is just a great time to get things done.
"Hopefully in 2018 I can rekindle my relationship with my father… I miss him," Briana tweeted back in January. She tweeted again soon after, revealing that she really wants her daughters to meet him.
Briana has shared with "Teen Mom 2" fans that she and her father have been estranged for years. He's never met her daughters, his own grandchildren, and Nova is 6-years old now.
Back in 2016, during an appearance on VH1's "Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn," it was revealed that Briana and Brittany don't share the same biological father. Instead, their mom Roxanne confessed that the man they both grew up knowing as their dad was really only Briana's biological father.
There's no telling how that might play into Briana's mission to find her dad or how Brittany will react.
Neither of them has seen him since that revelation.
Briana has a plan
Clearly, the absence of her father bothers her. Briana DeJesus is ready to make amends with the man who gave her life, even if that means tracking him down.
"I haven't heard from him since I was in pregnant so my sister and I are gonna go to New York to find him.
My father took us across seas. We've been to many places like Paris, Jamaica, Haiti, etc.," Briana said f her plan. "That's my best memories I have with him and IDK, I just see how my girls are missing out on their dad and I realize how important it is for fathers to be active in their daughters lives so I just wanna find him and fix our relationship."
Hopefully, once Briana and Brittany DeJesus are able to track down their father, they'll be able to spend some time with him and heal.
Brittany certainly has a lot of questions to ask the man whom she grew up thinking was her real dad. After years of living without him, it would be great to see them all back together again as one big happy family. It would be even better if their reunion coincided with "Teen Mom 2" filming so we could see them all come back together too.
