Stormy Daniels is an adult film star who says she had a sexual encounter with President Donald Trump in July 2006, just a few months after his wife Melania had given birth to their son Barron in March. Because the alleged extramarital affair made news in January 2018, Stormy Daniel has become a household name. Even so, there are still some things people don't know about her.
1. Background
Stormy Daniels' real name is Stephanie Clifford. She is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native who was born in 1979 and just turned 39 on March 17. She is an adult film Hall-of-Famer for being a performer and director over her 15-year-career.
The adult entertainer began earning money as a stripper at a club in Baton Rouge when she was only 17 years old.
During her career, she has made over 100 pornographic movies. She has also made several appearances in other areas as well. For instance, she starred in a Maroon 5 video with Adam Levine in 2007.
She was married twice and divorced twice. Both marriages lasted only two years. She shares a seven-year-old daughter with a former boyfriend.
2. Politics
Daniels had a brief run in politics in 2009. She ran for the United States Senate of Louisiana as a Republican. She withdrew from the race in 2010 because she didn't think the public took her candidacy seriously. Besides, she didn't have enough funds to continue.
She vowed to retire from the adult industry if she was elected.
3. Arrest record
Stormy was arrested in 2009 when she was accused of domestic violence against the father of her daughter because she was upset over the way he had done the laundry. She admitted to officers what she had done. After being arrested for a short time, she was released on a $1,000 bond.
4. Case against Donald Trump
Earlier this year, Daniels became involved in a legal dispute with President Donald Trump and his personal attorney, Michael Cohen. She stated that she received $130,000 in hush money for her silence about having an affair with the president in 2006. She is now suing the president in civil court because she says he never signed the non-disclosure agreement to keep her quiet.
The parties were identified in the document by their aliases, David Dennison and Peggy Peterson.

Trump and Cohen have both denied the affair even though Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti says that the adult entertainer told the truth in 2011 when she underwent a polygraph exam.

5. Upcoming interview
Daniels taped an interview with Anderson Cooper earlier this month that is scheduled to air on "60 minutes" on March 25, 2018.
Avenatti stated that the public will find out more about the case. He also stated on March 16 that his client has been threatened with bodily harm since she began speaking out about the alleged affair. Are you going to watch the interview on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, March 25?
