Ryan Edwards admitted himself into a treatment program last spring to treat his addiction to drugs. A short time later, after spending weeks in rehab, Edwards married wife Mackenzie Standifer in a second wedding ceremony and prior to the event, he requested a shot and chewed tobacco. In a sneak peek at the upcoming episode of "Teen Mom OG" Season 7, which airs on MTV next Monday night (Feb. 19), Edwards is seen arriving at the wedding venue and immediately requesting alcohol.

“I’m going to get a shot real quick,” Ryan Edwards announced to his groomsmen as he put a piece of chewing tobacco into his mouth.

Edwards also caused a stir when he was seen pulling up to the wedding venue as his wife Mackenzie Standifer and her bridesmaids stood outside. While that is typically considered to be bad luck, the old wives tale may not apply to Edwards and Standifer due to the event being their second wedding.

Ryan Edwards nearly nodded off while driving to his first wedding

During the final episode of season six of "Teen Mom OG," Edwards appeared to be in the midst of a downward spiral as he nearly nodded out while behind the wheel on a highway en route to his first wedding. As fans will remember, the incident took place after Maci Bookout expressed concern for her former partner's drug habits and admitted to fearing for his life.

Because Edwards was so clearly in need of help, many questioned Standifer's intentions. Then, during the reunion special months later, Standifer claimed she was unaware of her husband's addiction until Bookout brought it up on camera.

Ryan Edwards' ex-girlfriend attended his wedding

When Edwards said "I do" for the second time, his former girlfriend, Maci Bookout, the mother of his nine-year-old son Bentley, was in attendance with her husband Taylor McKinney.

Years ago, when Bookout and McKinney tied the knot, Edwards and Standifer were present, as were Edwards' parents, Jen and Larry Edwards.

Edwards and Bookout have had their issues with one another in the past and their co-parenting relationship seems to be a work in progress. That said, as they attempt to be civil with one another, the drama between them continues to play out on "Teen Mom OG" and recently, Edwards made it clear that he felt like Bookout was trying to be difficult.
