Maci Bookout has filmed "Teen Mom OG" for several years now and fans have seen the good the bad and the ugly from her and her family. Over the years, fans have seen how Maci has tried to move on from Ryan Edwards as he refused to help with Bentley when he was just a baby. Maci had to take on the responsibility of caring for this little boy as Ryan continued to hang out with friends and party. Now that he's an adult, Edwards is dealing with some heavy issues including drug use and increased drinking. It doesn't help that his wife isn't the biggest supporter when it comes to getting clean.
As fans have seen on "Teen Mom OG," she decided to shut down filming when MTV started to get too close.
According to a new tweet, Maci Bookout and her fellow co-stars Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood are now getting supportive tweets from fans who are glad that they're sharing both the ups and the downs in their lives with fans. Some of the stars of MTV, including Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans, have revealed that they would prefer to have more positive moments on the show and have complained that the producers highlight the negative things in their lives. However, fans are excited to see that Maci and her other co-stars are willing to open up about the negative aspects of their lives.
Constant use of drugs
Over the past couple of months, Maci Bookout's primary storyline is in regards to Ryan Edwards' drug use. He was caught taking Xanax last year as his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, asked him if he had taken Xanax again as he was passing out while driving a vehicle. Fans were furious with him as they were disappointed that he wasn't taking his role as a father more seriously.
Since getting caught on MTV, Ryan has gone through plenty of criticism from "Teen Mom OG" viewers and he is now sober thanks to treatment. Some viewers believe that he is still dealing with drugs as he does look high in some scenes. He claims he is sober and his wife is standing by his side.
As for Maci, she has no interest in discussing Ryan's drug use on the show.
She is currently focusing on her own life, which could include adoption.
Talking about adoption
Maci and her husband Taylor have been talking about having another baby. But the two are not keen on having another biological baby as she suffered a miscarriage a while ago. Maci has revealed that the child's name was going to be named after a dandelion. While discussing it on "Teen Mom OG," Taylor was heartbroken and he got teary-eyed while discussing the miscarriage while on a date with Bookout. The two have discussed adopting a baby who is a bit older as they continue raising their other children, Bentley, Jadye, and Maverick.
