Javi Marroquin will soon be seen in his very own "Teen Mom 2" spinoff special. According to a new report, MTV recently filmed a couple of specials with Marroquin and his fellow reality dad, Gary Shirley of "Teen Mom OG," which are set to premiere on the network later this month. As fans of the franchise will recall, MTV has already done a number of other similar shows, including "Being Ryan" about Ryan Edwards, the ex-boyfriend of Maci Bookout, and "Being Nathan" about the former fiancé of Jenelle Evans.
On February 8, In Touch Weekly shared details of the upcoming specials, revealing that MTV recently released a description of Javi Marroquin's show but has yet to reveal anything specific about Gary Shirley's upcoming special.
"Javi balances being a single dad half the time and deciding if he should start dating again," MTV's description of the special revealed. The description also said that Marroquin would be seen facing a possible deployment, and because of his potential move, he throws himself into a CrossFit competition as he attempts to build himself a happy life.
Will Javi Marroquin's romance with Briana DeJesus be featured?
While MTV didn't mention Briana DeJesus' name in their description of "Being Javi," they did mention Marroquin's dating life, which may suggest that she will play a role on his show. Although the couple is no longer together due to DeJesus being caught with her former boyfriend, Devoin Austin, they had been spending time with one another since September of last year.
What will Gary Shirley's special entail?
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to hear more about Gary Shirley's show from MTV but when it comes to what the show will likely feature, it is fairly safe to assume that the longtime reality star will be seen with his wife, Kristina Anderson, as they attempt to balance their lives together as they raise their young daughter and his older daughter who he shares with Amber Portwood.
As "Teen Mom OG" fans may have seen recently, Shirley and Portwood recently engaged in a messy Twitter dispute after Shirley retweeted a post from a follower who labeled Portwood as a "disgrace to all moms out there." In response, Portwood slammed Shirley and his wife for trying to make her look bad on the show.
