Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" indicate that J.T. may reveal an explosive secret to his ex-wife on Monday (Jan. 22). Fans have been wondering about the real reason he returned to genoa city and now the truth might be made known. Celeb Dirty Laundry says that while talking to Victoria, Mr. Helstrom will pull out a prescription bottle of pills. He will take a few and wash them down with a glass of wine. Reed's father may be dealing with some type of chronic illness or he could actually be dying. Whatever is going on with him was enough to make him walk away from Mac and her children and return to his first wife and oldest son.

J.T. is a man of mystery in Genoa City

Nothing about J.T.'s return to Genoa City makes any sense and there is much mystery surrounding him. He initially came to town to investigate the issues with Victor's bank accounts, but once that was settled he decided to stay,.flirted with Abby, and only later admitted that he and Mackenzie were having problems in their marriage. After receiving divorce papers in the mail, he and Victoria quickly hit the sheets and on Friday (Jan. 19) they were trying to define what is going on between them.

Spoilers believe that on Monday, Mr. Helstrom will come clean with Victoria and admit that he does not have much time to live. The storyline, however, has given viewers no indication to believe J.T.

is sick, but anything is possible. Mal Young, the new head writer for "The Young and the Restless," has promised to shake things up in Genoa City and that he has done very well. He put an end to "Villy" by making "Philly" seem strong and now Reed's dad and mother are getting involved once more.

Heartbreak in store for Victoria

Spoilers indicate that, sadly, heartbreak is in store once again for Victoria. She lost Travis and was unsuccessful in getting Billy back, so if J.T. is dying, that would indeed be a crushing blow. "Philly" getting back together and Vicky returning to her ice queen mode at Newman happened so fast, fans may wonder if there is an ulterior motive that will be revealed in time.

Because everything has transpired so fast, "Y&R" viewers have not had time to try to figure out what is really going on. If Celeb Dirty Laundry is correct, then the real reason Reed's dad came back to Genoa City, and why he is washing down prescription drugs with wine, will be revealed on Monday.
