"General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini delivered, big time, for the fans on Friday and left absolutely no doubt that Stone Cold is back in action. Jason Morgan took down Cesar Faison in one precise shot as only he could do. It remains to be seen, however, whether or not "JaSam" will win at the end of the nine-month arc, but one thing is crystal clear, Billy Miller being revealed as Drew was the right decision. Steve Burton delivered a performance that no one else was capable of and proved he will always be this exciting Port Charles character that he established as a teen.

It's as if the past five years never happened.

Steve Burton cannot be replaced

Kudos to Billy Miller for the fantastic job he was doing, but on Friday GH viewers knew, without a doubt, that Steve Burton reigns supreme. Drew may get the girl, but his brother is unstoppable when he needs to rescue his loved ones. Cesar was holding Carly hostage at the Metro Court when his nemesis walked in with a gun pointed at him. Faison taunted that Jason would never be able to make the shot and, before the words were out of his mouth, he was down.

Jason did not blink or flinch, and showing no emotion, simply did what he had been trained to do. Cesar never knew what was coming and the fans loved every moment.

Later when Sonny told him "Good shot," his reply was, "You told me not to miss." Jordan showed up and asked for his gun but Stone Cold was not placed under arrest. "General Hospital" fans may continue to bicker over which brother Sam should spend her life with, but there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that Steve Burton is irreplaceable.

Jason taking down Faison takes things to a new level

The excitement being expressed by GH fans is as if Jason taking aim at Faison was the shot heard round the world. Sonny's mob enforcer is back, but not everyone in Port Charles will be pleased. The showdown with the crazed madman is just the type of thing that Sam wants to avoid.

She keeps repeating that she loves the life she has with Drew and this may even convince her that she chose the right brother. This situation, however, is about to take things to an entirely different level.

Jason, for now, is the hero who took down the deranged one and even Anna will be grateful. Spoilers, from Celeb Dirty Laundry, indicate that things could get confusing this coming week. Stone Cold promises Ms. Devane that Faison will die one way or another, but that he needs him alive, for now, so he can get answers. Peter may have them, but it's not certain if or when he will reveal who his true identity. Stay tuned weekday afternoons at 2:00 PM on ABC for more episodes of "General Hospital."
