The president was met with some cheers and many boos as he stood for the national anthem prior to kick off. Trump was mocked across social media for appearing to mouth the wrong words, which was highlighted during a satirical lip-reading video during the January 9 edition of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Kicking off his usual opening monologue on Tuesday night, "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert took a shot at Donald Trump over his immigration plans. "Donald Trump held a bipartisan meeting on immigration reform focused mainly on reforming our policy of having immigrants," Colbert said.
Stephen Colbert warned that if both sides don't come to an agreement by January 20, that the government would shutdown, before jokingly commenting, "or as historians call it, 'one year too late.'" The host continued to poke fun at the meeting, especially due to the cameras being allowed in, saying, "They don’t even let cameras into The Bachelor fantasy suite." In conclusion, Colbert joked, "You know what they say: if you love someone, kick them out of the country...If they come back to you, build a wall so they can’t get in."
