As fans of "The Real Housewives Of New York City" likely heard, de Lesseps was taken into police custody in the wee hours of Christmas Eve morning after allegedly trespassing in a hotel room and getting into bed with someone who has yet to be identified.

On January 24, TMZ shared a report with readers, confirming that LuAnn de Lesseps has officially been charged on three counts after allegedly attacking a Florida cop.

As was previously reported, the reality star was accused of battery on a Florida police officer one month ago after the mother of two supposedly kicked the officer and threatened to commit murder. Now, because of her shocking antics, she is facing a felony charge for resisting the police with violence. She's also been charged with two misdemeanors for trespassing and disorderly intoxication.

LuAnn de Lesseps is facing up to five years behind bars

According to TMZ, the "Real Housewives of New York City" star is facing five years in prison due to the felony charge against her. As for the other two felonies she was facing, they were not filed. As the outlet explained, LuAnn de Lesseps was previously accused of two felony counts of corruption by threat but for whatever reason, the authorities opted not to pursue those counts.

LuAnn de Lesseps received treatment for substance abuse

After explaining herself on Twitter, claiming that she was in a bad emotional state after traveling to Palm Beach for the very first time since marrying now-ex-husband Tom D'Agostino Jr., LuAnn de Lesseps confirmed that she was headed to a treatment center. De Lesseps and D'Agostino Jr.

were married for just eight months when the reality star confirmed their plans for divorce on Twitter.

Weeks later, LuAnn de Lesseps resurfaced with her co-stars, including Ramona Singer and Carole Radziwill, during a girls trip in Connecticut. She also shared a statement on Twitter after her return, telling her fans and followers that it was good to be back.
