Mackenzie McKee got dragged into the drama between Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus when it was learned that she may be making an appearance on "Coffee Convos with Kailyn Lowry and Linzie Chrisley" recently. One report even claimed that Mackenzie and "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer-Calvert were coming on the podcast to "destroy" Briana for her recent Twitter tirade.

It turns out that she might have something better to talk about when she does make a guest appearance. And by better, we're talking about her alleged return to TV.

Is Mackenzie joining another 'Teen Mom' franchise?

The rumors about Mackenzie's upcoming return were sparked when she shared a picture of her mother, Angie Douthit, alongside MTV producers Kristen as well as Morgan J. Freeman on Snapchat. Immediately, chatter started about what reason they may have for the visit.

Some believe that the reason for a visit from MTV producers can only mean plans for a new show or possibly a new spot on an old show. Either way, they're pretty convinced that Mackenzie is coming back to TV according to OK magazine.

Now there is speculation about which one it might be. With Farrah Abraham's recent declaration that she'll be moving on from "Teen Mom OG," some wondered if Mackenzie McKee might be the one to move into the open spot next season.

Afterall, her former co-star Briana DeJesus was tapped for "Teen Mom 2" so MTV will clearly move the ladies around when they need to fill a hole or add another layer to the show.

What about her own MTV special?

There's also a pretty good possibility that Mackenzie McKee could be getting her own special on the network. There are a few things going on in her life that would explain why MTV would want to run a special series just for her.

Mackenzie's love of fitness and the business she's built around it are no secret to "Teen Mom" fans. She's been sharing photos as she prepares to launch a new Body by Mac program. Is it possible that MTV might want to turn that into a series for the network? Possible but the other theory is more likely.

Earlier this month, Mackenzie revealed her mother's shocking cancer diagnosis to fans.

In a January 2 tweet, Mackenzie asked fans to pray for her mom, who they learned was battling stage 4 brain cancer. Understandably, the whole family was stunned by the news.

With Angie Douthit fighting the fight of her life, is it possible that MTV wants to film it? So far, Mackenzie McKee is keeping quiet. When OK asked for comment, her response is that she's not sure what will happen yet. Certainly, it's something though and her fans cannot wait to find out and support her in, whatever it is.
