luann de lesseps made headlines just before Christmas because she decided to do something outrageous. Luann had gone back to Florida a year after getting married to Thomas D'Agostino. The "real housewives of new york" star didn't go into details about what she was doing there or who she was hanging out with, but within hours, reports started to surface that she had been arrested and charged with a long list of things. Apparently, she had been in a hotel room with a man. They were in bed together, but the room didn't belong to them. When police arrived, she had hidden out in a bathroom and had been forceful with a police officer.

According to a new report, Luann de Lesseps is now being accused of also trying to escape the police officer's custody. Apparently, "The Real Housewives of New York" star tried to get out of the police car she was held in after she had been arrested. The details are now surfacing, as Luann is due back in court later this month. She has voluntarily admitted herself into treatment.

Managed to remove cuffs

According to the police report, Luann was handcuffed in the hotel room after she tried to shut herself out using the bathroom door. She slammed the door so hard that it hit the police officer in the face. When she was brought to the patrol car, she supposedly slipped out of the handcuffs and tried to get out of the vehicle.

The officer had to remove her from the car to put the handcuffs on her again and it was here that she uttered the words, "I'm going to [expletive] kill you."

After being put in handcuffs again, Luann de Lesseps supposedly tried to escape again. It's possible that this behavior is included in her lengthy list of charges.

Lengthy sentence

When Luann was put in front of a judge earlier this month, Luann learned that the charges against her are serious. If she's found guilty of all the charges, she faces a decade behind bars. With two children at home, this isn't what she wants to do. In her own defense, Luann de Lesseps revealed that it was painful for her to be back in Florida where she had gotten married.

That may be hard to believe for some people, as she was found in bed with another man and there are reports that drugs could be involved.

What do you think about Luann de Lesseps acting out against the officers? Are you surprised to learn that she tried to escape police custody twice that night? What is a fair sentence for her if she's found guilty of these charges against her?
