There haven't been many spoilers, and exclusive leaks from "Game of Thrones" filming sets this year. This comes as no surprise, given the fact this is the final season and they want to keep us in the dark for as long as possible avoiding any kind of major set leaks that pretty much ruined some scenes for us last year.
But every now and then, some really exciting news does come up with some major implications for what can possibly happen in "Game of Thrones" Season 8. So without further ado, let's get right into this.
Crypts of Winterfell spoilers
According to "Watchers on the Wall", we will be seeing the Crypts of Winterfell in at least two episodes this season. In one of which we will be seeing two main characters discussing Ned Stark's death down in the Crypts. Now let's talk about who these people might be.
One of them is obviously Jon Snow, who is heading to Winterfell with Daenerys Targaryen. And as far as the other character is concerned, our best guess is that it would have to be Bran Stark. For it is Bran who needs to tell Jon about his real parents. And given how much weight does this information carry, it stands the reason to believe that Bran would want to keep it away from curious ears. And Winterfell's Crypts seem like a good place to share this kind of information, especially with the Iron Throne at stake.
Blowing a horn
According to the same source, the scene in the Crypts ends with a horn being blown. The only people we've seen so far blowing the horn are the men of the Night's Watch. This could be one of those horns they blow on the Wall, and they simply moved it to Winterfell to signalize the arrival of the White Walkers. But it would be far more interesting if this is one of the two special horns we hear about in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books.
One of which being the Dragonbinder, a magical horn that binds dragons to one's will, currently in possession of Euron Greyjoy in the books. We haven't seen it in the show yet, and it is not likely that we will ever will. Unless it will be used for bringing the Night King's dragon down.
The other horn is, of course, the mysterious Horn of Winter said to be capable of bringing down the Wall and waking giants.
But here's the thing. We've already seen the dead giants being raised, and the Night King's army crossing the Wall, so if the Horn of Winter is near the Crypts, it might raise the Stark Kings from the dead when blown.
There is also a theory that suggests that horn Sam found buried in the Fist of the First Men, along with dragonglass, is actually the Horn of Winter. If this is true, then there is a good chance that Sam still has this horn. Check out the scene down below.
My opinion
With all this in mind, it would be really fascinating if, while Bran is about to tell Jon about his real parents, Sam blows this horn to signal the arrival of the White Walkers and then all of a sudden the Kings of Winter are raised from the dead to fight against the Night King and his army.
We know that this might sound like crazy tinfoil to some of you, but with this being the last season, we are expecting just about anything to happen. And who knows, maybe this horn could even control the Army of the Dead in a way that the Dragonbinder controls dragons.
