Marvel's latest superhero offering "Ant-Man and the Wasp" dropped a brand new trailer today, and things are getting all kinds of shrunken - and enlarged.

In the sequel to 2015's "Ant-Man," the ex-thief turned pint-sized superhero Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is on the Run from some masked baddies. But this time he has an equally miniature ally – Hope Pym (Evangeline Lilly). She is now the Wasp, and she has wings and blasters, much to Scott’s dismay. What makes this cool is that in the first "Ant-Man," Hope’s mother Janet was originally The Wasp – believed to have been killed whilst wearing another version of the suit and disarming a nuclear bomb.

Michael Douglas is also back for round two as Dr. Hank Pym, the designer of "Ant-Man and the Wasp's" super suits and the shrinking technology that allows them to become the literal size of their insect namesakes but retain considerable strength. Up until the new trailer release, information has been pretty thin on the plot of "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and honestly, the trailer doesn’t give much away.

What we can gather about the plot from 'Ant-Man and The Wasp's' trailer

The trailer opens with a scene from Marvel’s "Captain America: Civil War," where Ant-Man fought by the Cap’s side against Tony Stark. We also see the surprising moment where it was revealed not only can Ant-Man shrink, but he can become a giant - (technology that the Wasp applies at the end of the trailer when she enlarges a Hello Kitty pez dispenser and throws it at a bad guy).

The trailer then cuts to Lang being bundled out of his house by the police, presumably having violated his house arrest (guess his parole conditions didn’t include fighting alongside the Avengers). It seems Hope and Dr. Hank are also on the run from the law, but it's fine because Hank can shrink skyscrapers and turn them into luggage!

From there, the trailer is extremely thin on giving away the plot – car chases ensue, mysterious grey villains are shown in cloaks and Ant-Man becomes Ant-Man once more (both shrunk and enormous). Definitely, the coolest part of the trailer is seeing Hope become the Wasp, running along knives in a fantastic kitchen fight we see glimpses of.

Hope is definitely no mere sidekick and with her martial arts background, looks to give Ant-Man a run for his money in the ass-kicking department.
