In case you haven’t been following the latest Duggar news then you might not know that Dillard was kicked off the TLC Duggar Reality Television Show “Counting On.” He was fired after he made some transphobic remarks towards transgender Jazz Jennings online. Well, now Dillard is saying that he was not actually fired from the series but he made the choice to quit filming anything for the show. He also hinted that his wife Jill Duggar would no longer appear in the series as well. You can continue to read below to see what Dillard had to say about allegedly quitting the show along with his wife.
What did Derick Dillard have to say about leaving the series?
Recently, Dillard went online to reply to a report Fox News made about the demise of his reality television show career. The Duggar family member made the following comments on his Twitter about not being fired but quitting the series “For the record, I was never fired.” Jill Duggar's husband then continued by saying: “I just felt it best for my family to cut ties months ago, as we are heading in a different direction.” I have attached the Tweet below so you can see what all of the fuss is about.
Unbelievable what’s considered newsworthy these days, but then again, this is how I first heard that I was “fired”. For the record, I was never fired. I just felt it best for my family to cut ties months ago, as we are heading in a different direction. https://t.co/XUFD3i5arj

This Tweet made many fans believe that his wife Jill Duggar would no longer be appearing on the show as he said that his own Duggar family would be heading in a different direction for their future.
Some people are confused about what this new direction is as one fan said online: “What direction would that be? Begging for money on the internet?” In case you didn’t know, since Dillard left the series he has been creating fundraising pages for himself so he can finish his education.
What other controversies have Derick Dillard and his wife Jill Duggar gotten into?
Let’s be fair, Jill Duggar does not really get into controversy, it is usually her husband, Derick Dillard. Dillard making transphobic remarks and starting fundraising pages is not all the issues he has gotten himself into. For example, Dillard recently got into trouble online with feminists all over the world.
The reason this group of people got angry with Dillard was because he questioned their agenda and how they prioritized their goals as a movement. He also said that he hated the whole idea of abortion and questioned how as a group they could support it. Regardless, you can catch up with the rest of the Duggar family on their reality television show “Counting On” and you can also follow them on their social media accounts.
