It is coming up to Christmas now, and if there is one thing missing from your television, it is obviously the TLC Reality Television Show “Sister Wives.” Sister Wives would usually air around the winter months, and there has been no mention of a brand new season. Now, the only way people have managed to keep up with the Kody Brown and his huge family is from social media. I mean it wasn’t hard to follow up on what the Brown family was doing as the eighteen children, the wives and Brown himself all have social media accounts. What does Kody Brown do for a living?

When we first were introduced to the show Brown and his first two wives Janelle and Meri were all working. Now, it is worth mentioning that during the first season it was never really said what Brown did for work except some mentioning of doing work online and sales work. However, from watching the later season of the show, it has become quite obvious that Brown and his family are living off the paychecks that they get from the show itself.

Now finding out how much money the Brown family gets from the show is the tricky part. You see, TLC is said to spend anywhere from $250,000 to $400,00 per episode in a TLC series. The reality television families are then rumored to take about ten percent of that cut.

Which means that Brown and his family would be taking home around $25,000 to $40,000 per episode. If you do the right calculations, the show has had roughly one hundred and fourteen episodes so that means the family would have made just under $3 million from the show alone. Again, that $3 million is just from the show and it doesn’t include other money coming in like the wive’s online jewelry store “My Sister Wife’s Closest.”

Is the show going to be renewed?

The fans of the Brown family reality television show are looking to find out if TLC is going to renew it or not.

Well, it currently appears that TLC does not know if they want to renew the show. Kendra Pollard spoke to Life&Style about Robyn potentially leaving the show if another wife was brought into the family. This is what she had to say “If he takes on new wives, she said she’ll leave. This isn’t what she signed up for.” It is definitely safe to assume that if a main castmate leaves the show, it won’t be doing the show any favors in getting it renewed.

This wouldn't be the first time a wife got divorced as Brown divorced Meri to be legally married to Robyn in 2014. To be honest, time will tell if the show will get a new season or not but by looking at the TLC airing season for 2018 it is safe to assume that we will be getting a new season of the show.
