According to the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle is moving to London this month to be with her boyfriend Prince Harry. They have been dating for more than a year and seem to be very serious about each other. Her move will come as soon as she finishes filming the current series of "Suits" in November.
Markle plans move to London
The 36-year-old actress has not signed on for another season; therefore, there is no reason for her to continue living in Toronto where the legal drama is filmed. She has already canceled her VIP Audi North America rental car contract since she is moving and intends to make London her permanent home.
She has visited Prince Harry and spent long periods of time there so often that she had already started keeping some clothes and personal items at his three-bedroom apartment in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
Because there are so many other events on the royal calendar, an engagement will have to wait. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child. Queen Elizabeth has her own schedule to keep. A formal engagement announcement and a royal wedding will not be dates Prince Harry and Meghan are allowed to choose themselves. Instead, the dates will be chosen for them by the palace.
Charity work
Markle plans to become a global charity campaigner in London. Meghan Markle will have her own office in London so she can continue focusing on women in need.
There is the possibility that she will set up her own foundation there. She has been involved in charity work for a long time. Since she is giving up her acting career, she will have more time to focus on her charities. She and Prince Harry might combine some of their charities.
Putting things in place
Other the year, the actress and the prince have put certain things in place so that when the time is right they can move forward with plans for their future.
For instance, Prince Harry had met Meghan's parents. Meghan has met Harry's father, Prince Charles, and his wife Camilla. She has met Harry's brother Prince William and his family.
The one person that has sealed the deal is Meghan's boyfriend's grandmother. She is just not any grandmother. She is the Queen of England who has a lot to say about whether her grandson should or should not marry Meghan. Queen Elizabeth has met Meghan and approves of her. What impressed her is that Meghan is very involved in humanitarian work just like most of the royal family.
