In case you didn’t know it has been over a year since this "Sister Wives" wrapped up production on Season 7 of the show in summer 2016. It is worth mentioning that fans of the show have been waiting patiently for TLC to make an announcement on a premiere date for the eighth season of the show. However, as TLC has not made an announcement just yet, many fans think that the show has been canceled, as they believe there should have been news on a Season 8 by now. Well, there are also other reasons why people think the show is canceled and some of those reasons include Kody Brown.

Why do people think the show is canceled?

Well, as mentioned above, a lot of fans are worried about the show being canceled because after all it has been a year since Season 7 wrapped production and we still haven’t heard anything. However, some people think that the show is on the verge of cancellation because of what Brown reportedly said last year to close friend Kendra Pollard. You see, Brown was fearful that TLC would cancel the show, so he thought the best way to combat this would be to bring two new wives into the family. Now, this didn’t impress his other wives, as three of them said they would quit the show if more wives were brought into the already large family. Pollard then told Life&Style about the whole situation, and she said: “Kody is really, really sweating losing the show and he’s doing everything he can to keep it.”

The other reason why people think the show will be canceled is because of how the viewers don't really like Brown himself.

If you have been a fan of the show then you would know that Brown has done some questionable things in his past. A report by In Touch Weekly stated that an insider on the show said that when he divorced his first wife, Meri, in 2014 to be legally married to Robyn, he left a bad taste in the mouths of many viewers.

The insider commented on the whole situation by saying “Kody's done so many messed-up things that it serves him right to be pushed aside.”

The current state of the show

The current state of Brown's show remains up in the air as it appears TLC is not sure if they want to renew the show or not. It is also worth noting that Pollard said that Robyn would leave the show if Brown brought new women into the family.

This was the quote Pollard gave Life&Style about Robyn: “If he takes on new wives, she said she’ll leave. This isn’t what she signed up for.” Well, if a wife who is a featured castmate was to leave the show, that would be bad news for the show.
