Fans of "General Hospital" will be seeing the return of a familiar face to Port Charles at the end of November. It has long been teased that Tamara Braun, the second actress to portray the character of Carly, will be returning to the popular daytime drama.

ABC hinted at the possibility back in September but it wasn't until an article published by EW in late October that the rumors became true. On November 22, 2017, Tamar Braun will return. However, there is no word yet on what role she will play, the only certainty being that Laura Wright, who currently plays Carly, will not be handing the role back over to Braun.

Connection to Steve Burton character?

There is no official word yet on who Braun will be playing on the show, but fans wonder if her character will be connected to Steve Burton, who returned to the show in September. According to Hollywood Life, Daytime Confidential reports that Braun will play a pivotal role in the upcoming "Tale of Two Jasons" story arc.

Nevertheless, Laura Wright is secure in her role as Carly, but fans will have to get used to seeing both Wright and Braun on screen together in Port Charles.

Tamara Braun

Braun, 46, played the role of Carly Corinthos from 2001 to 2005 and was nominated for an Emmy during that time for her portrayal of Carly. After leaving "General Hospital" Braun went on to appear in "All My Children" and later, on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" from 2008 to 2016 where she won an Emmy for her portrayal of Ava.

She has also made an appearance on Amazon's original series "Bosch."

Braun is no stranger to soap operas and has garnered much admiration from fans in her various roles. Those same fans were very upset when Braun left the role of Carly, and only acquiesced their displeasure when Laura Wright was finally cast. Unfortunately, Jennifer Bransford, who originally took over the role after Braun's departure for a very short time, may have suffered the same fate as George Lazenby did when he took over the role of James Bond from Sean Connery.

Lazenby himself would go on to appear in General Hospital in 1982 as Reginald Durban. There is no word yet on how long Braun will be staying around Port Charles, no contract information has been released yet. However, fans are eagerly awaiting to see Braun once again appear on "General Hospital."

You can catch "General Hospital" on ABC weekdays at 2:00 PM EST and Tamara Braun's return to the show on November 22.
