"The young and the restless" spoilers reveal that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will admit something shocking to her mother, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). It will surprise Sharon and will force her out of her comfort zone. Mariah's secret has to be her attraction to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).

More Mariah/ Tessa drama ahead

According to Soap Central, Tessa and Mariah share an intimate moment after The Underground fire. It could be as simple as them sharing an embrace after The Underground fire. Or, it could be something much more significant.

The next step in the storyline will be Mariah admitting her feelings about Tessa to someone else. With Sharon having so much going on in her life, Mariah may not want to bother her. However, according to Soap Central, Sharon will corner her daughter and demand that she spills what's bothering her.

"The Young and the Restless" spoilers state that Mariah expresses how much she cares for Tessa and can't fight the attraction she feels. Sharon will be shocked by her daughter's admission, but will support her. She will probably urge her to be careful, but tell her to follow her heart.

Sharon has her own drama with Tessa

Sharon will be preoccupied with finding a way to clear Scott Grainger's (Daniel Hall) name and keep him out of prison.

She believes that Zack (Ryan Ashton) framed Scott and will do just about anything she needs to prove it. "Y&R" spoilers suggest that Tessa may know Zack better than she let on. It leads to Sharon pressing Tessa to give up any information she has on Zack. Tessa looked apprehensive and didn't want to reveal her connection to Zack.

Will Tessa's relationship to Zack affect Mariah/Tessa pairing?

If Sharon believes that Tessa lied to her, she could speak to Mariah about Tessa. She could suggest that Tessa isn't the misunderstood rocker that she claimed to be. It's pretty apparent that "The Young and the Restless" writers want to put Sharon and Tessa against each other, which should be a hint that Tessa and Mariah will profess their love for each other soon.

While Mariah and Tessa won't admit their feelings for each other just yet, it will happen in the coming weeks. After The Underground blaze, Mariah and Tessa may give in to their passion after realizing that life's too short to worry about other people.
