The coronation night of Miss Grand International 2017 will be held at Vinpearl Resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam on October 25. Current titleholder Ariska Putri Pertiwi from Indonesia will pass on the crown to the new winner.

Over 70 contestants from various parts of the globe will vie for the coveted title in one of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants. All of the ladies participated in a preliminary competition held earlier this week, wearing their swimsuits and evening gowns, Global Beauties reported.

During the evening gown portion, the ladies paraded their long dresses designed by their country’s top designers.

Before they walked down the stairs, they each introduced themselves and the countries they represented in front of the live audience and millions of viewers watching online.

Best evening wear

Indonesia’s representative Dea Rizkita wore a black gown with elaborate designs and a plunging cut at the back. She styled her hair combed toward the back of her body, revealing her stunning facial features. Rizkita is a psychologist and usually does counseling with children according to her pre-pageant interview.

Meanwhile, Mexico’s representative Yoana Gutiérrez Vázquez chose a bright Red Long-sleeve gown with a large train behind the skirt. Other contestants who sported a red long gown included Argentina’s Yoana del Carmen Don Marozzi and India’s Anukriti Gusain.

A lot of the ladies also picked the color white for their gowns during the preliminary competition. Venezuela’s Tulia Rosa Maria Aleman Ferrer wore a white ensemble with a sheer panel overlay to reveal her legs. Furthermore, Irmina Preišegalavičiūtė from Lithuania wore an iconic pageant gown with a straight line cut from the neckline toward the bottom of the skirt.

She decided to keep her hair in a bun.

Elizabeth Clenci from the Philippines shone in her see-through gown during the night, local news website Rappler reported. The gown was designed by a local designer from her country.
