The third group of candidates in Miss Earth 2017 competed in a Resort Wear event held in Tarlac, Philippines on October 13. Le Thi Ha Thu of vietnam won the competition and bagged a gold medal.

The contestants are divided into three groups with each participating in separate events, tours and competitions. They will be touring several provinces in the Southeast Asian nation such as Isabela, Ilocos Norte and Boracay Island, local news agency Rappler reported.

During the resort wear competition of Miss Earth 2017, Andreia Gibau bagged a silver medal coming in the second place.

Ukraine’s delegate Diana Mironenko won a bronze medal.

Just like the swimsuit competition, the resort wear event featured summer-inspired outfits but there was more variety to the designs. The collection still featured some swimsuits but there are also floral outfits, hats, and long dresses.

Tarlac City

Tarlac province played host to the resort wear competition. It is a province located around three to four hours from the Philippine capital, Manila. This area is also the hometown of a renowned political family in the country.

Silver medalist Andreia Gibau stood out from the rest of her competitors by wearing the American flag with her one-piece swimsuit attire. Competition winner Le Thi Ha Thu chose a more conservative outfit, a yellow long dress with a plunging neckline.

Ukraine’s representative wore a dark blue knee-high summer dress.

Earlier, some of the ladies also competed in a swimsuit event held in Manila. Karen Ibasco from the Philippines bagged a gold medal, followed by Karen Rojas of Peru and Lada Akimova of Russia.
