With the year finally drawing near and various year-end awards shows are already in the works, more South Korean pop artists squeeze in to release new material. The next round of comebacks will consist of two of the most popular K-Pop groups in the world today.
JYP Entertainment has revealed that its current top idol girl group, TWICE is scheduled to make a comeback late in October. The girl group will be going head to head with Pledis Entertainment’s boy group, Seventeen as they prep up for a comeback in the first week of November.
Seventeen prepares for second album
Seventeen is gearing up to release their second full-length studio album “TEEN, AGE.” The new album is scheduled to release both physical and digital versions on November 6.
Pledis Entertainment has kicked off the promotions for the new album by releasing the boy group’s concept teasers. The second set of their teasers were just released and it featured members Mingyu, Woozi, Joshua, and The 8 in solo shots.
Though Pledis Entertainment and Seventeen have yet to release further details on their new album, the concept photos already hint what their title track will most likely be about. The teasers featured the boys in casual attires that depicted a youthful vibe.
Seventeen made their debut in May 2015 and then they released their first full-length studio album, “Love & Letter,” also known as “First Love & Letter,” a year later. Aside from working on their upcoming comeback, the K-Pop idol group have been preoccupied with their first world tour that recently wrapped up.

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment has announced that their current top girl group will finally release their first full-length studio album on October 30.
The new album titled “Twicetagram” will consist of 13 new songs including their title track “Likey.”
“Twicetagram” is derived from the group’s official Instagram username. Former Wonder Girls’ member Hyerim along with other popular South Korean composers worked on the girls’ new songs.
JYP Entertainment have already started releasing concept teasers of their upcoming comeback. A new set of teasers where recently released, which focused on each member’s charm in individual shots.
In addition to the teasers, JYP Entertainment also signed up the group to film an episode on the popular idol talk show, “Weekly Idol” to kick off the full-scale activities for the promotion of their first full album.
TWICE made their debut in October 2015 with nine members and since then they’ve been a hit especially with male fans. However, the girl group has only been releasing singles or mini albums.
