Sm Entertainment is finally gearing up one of the biggest and most anticipated comebacks of the year. Girls’ Generation is set to return to the music scene in just a few days.
The popular Korean pop girl group have revealed more details on their upcoming comeback and new album. SM Entertainment kicked off the promotions of their comeback by releasing various teaser clips and images on their official social media accounts.
They started off the comeback promotions with the release of the first set of teasers featuring the visual or face of Girls’ Generation, Im Yoona.
The entertainment company has been releasing one set of teasers every day and aside from Yoona’s teasers, they have already released sets for Tiffany Hwang, Kwon Yuri, Kim Hyoyeon, Choi Sooyoung, and the latest one featuring the youngest member, Seohyun.
The teaser clips feature each of the member’s memories and their journey as part of the breakthrough girl group, revealing old footage from their trainee days and when they first started out as idols in South Korea. Girls’ Generation is still considered the biggest K-Pop act in South Korea and all over the world.
They are widely known for paving the golden path for idol girl groups to compete in South Korea’s male-dominated music and entertainment industry.
Until now, their popularity is unparalleled and all the members have made names for themselves, finally taking on solo projects recently.
'Holiday Night' album and comeback details
Girls’ Generation recently announced their new and sixth album titled “Holiday Night.” SM Entertainment added that the physical version of the new album has been scheduled to release on August 7.
However, the digital version — as well as the new music videos — are expected to be out on August 4 at 6 PM (KST) as stated in the company’s official YouTube channel.
The group has been preparing for the 10th anniversary since debut and they will be promoting two title tracks from the sixth album, namely “All Night” and “Holiday.” The new album will consist of ten new tracks including the two aforementioned title songs.
SM Entertainment revealed that the songs will be available on iTunes & Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play Music as well.
The girl group will also be holding a special concert called “Holiday to Remember” on August 5 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea to commemorate their tenth debut anniversary and to celebrate it with fans who have been supporting them since day one. They will be performing their first comeback stage on Mnet's music show, "M! Countdown" on August 10.
